Booking Conditions

The Owners and staff will follow all relevant Government Health and Safety advice and all legal requirements to ensure safety during your stay with us. We ask that all guests respect the shared nature of our cottages and behave responsibility and with due to consideration to others throughout their stay so that we all stay safe.

 

These conditions apply to all reservations once a deposit payment for the booking has been made and receipt of the payment has been acknowledged. By making a deposit payment on booking, you are accepting these terms and conditions, so please read them through carefully.

 

Reservations – a reservation only becomes a booking when the agreed deposit has been received and this has been acknowledged to the hirer in writing.

 

Cottage booking – this is a booking for either an individual cottage or a number of cottages. Included in the hire is all electricity, heating, linen, towels, toddler and baby equipment, dog crates, wifi, the use of the cottage(s) and all other site facilities as allowed by Government restrictions in place at the time of your holiday with us.

 

The Hirer – this is person named on the booking information and they are responsible for all payments and any damages. Refunds will only be made directly to the Hirer.

 

The Owners – are the owners of Wringworthy cottages – Michael and Kim Spencer

 

The owners accept no responsibility for personal injury to guests or suppliers, loss or damage to their property or matters over which they have no direct control. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at any time. We reserve the right to close any facilities or parts of our land at any time.

 

MAKING A BOOKING

Bookings are only valid when confirmed in writing. By paying a deposit you enter into a legal contract between you and the owners which you agree to abide to.

 

The booking deposit is one third of the total amount, as paid by the hirer and agreed to in writing by the Owners. It is non-refundable.  You are therefore advised to take out insurance before doing this.

 

The balance for your booking must be paid 2 weeks before the start of your booking.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Exceptional circumstances due to Covid19

In the event that the Government declares that we must not accept guests during any part of your stay, then we will refund you in full the days of your holiday that you are unable to take.

 

Refunds will be made back to The Hirer only and not to a third party or group. The refund will be made on the first day that the booking was due to start.

 

We will not refund any costs in relation to booked transport or other accommodation booked or any other ancillary costs incurred by The Hirer.

 

Cancellation with greater than two weeks notice – If you have paid in full and you cancel your booking in writing giving two weeks notice, then we will offer to transfer all monies paid to an alternative date. If this unacceptable to either party, then we will refund any balance paid minus the deposit.

 

Cancellation with less than two weeks notice – You are liable for the full amount of the hire costs if you cancel with less than 2 weeks written notice. You will be asked to settle the balance outstanding at the point of your written cancellation.

If we are able to re-let any of the cottages that you booked we will pass on the income that we receive minus the deposit. Any refunds are paid within 7 working days from the date the booking was due to end and will only be paid to the hirer.

 

GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS

 

  1. Cottages must never be occupied by more than the permitted number as stated when booking. The permitted number includes all adults and children aged 2+ years. A cot is only suitable for an infant aged 2 or under. If you exceed the permitted number sleeping in any cottage then the Hirer will be asked to relocate any additional guests off of site.
  2. No additional visitors are permitted on site. Anyone who allows family, friends or others on site or in the cottage during their stay will be asked to leave immediately and will not be liable for any refunds.
  3. All damages and breakages must be reported immediately. For large items or deliberate damage a charge will be levied on the Hirer.
  4. We reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee to the Hirer if the cottages or any other associated buildings or land are not left in the condition in which they were hired.
  5. Lettings are from 5pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure. You will be unable to access the site for any reason from 10.15am to 5pm. Gates will be closed and no early arrivals are permitted.
  6. Guests may smoke outside the cottages and barns only. No indoor smoking.
  7. We permit pets in all cottages and general areas on site. Pets are not permitted in the Games barn, duck pond area, swimming pool area or in the pool, chicken and donkey enclosures or donkey field at any time.
  8. Dogs must be older than 1 year and fully house trained. They can be left alone for short periods of time providing they are in a crate. Dogs must stay on lead whilst out on site or in any of the site buildings. Dog fouling must be bagged and binned on site.
  9. Dogs, except assistance dogs, are permitted except in July and August
  10. Guests causing excessive noise, disturbance or interference to the owners or neighbours, who smoke in non smoking areas or who leave their dog unattended or allow them off of lead onsite, will be asked to leave directly by the owners and the Hirer will be expected to ensure that this happens.
  11. We reserve the right to enter any part of the site at any time.
  12. Your health and safety is paramount. All guests are required to respect the Governments directions in relation to social distancing and any rules that the Owners feel appropriate in respect of the use of on-site facilities. Anyone breaching these rules will be asked to leave the site immediately and will not be liable for any refunds.

 

YOUR HOLIDAY DURING COVID19 RESTRICTIONS

We expect our guests, staff and contractors on site to follow the Governments guidance on cleaning, social distancing and awareness of other guests.

 

BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME

  1. Please do not travel to Wringworthy if you or any member of your party is displaying symptoms of Covid19 as defined in current Government guidance.
  2. Please make sure you are aware of our check in time as we will not allow check ins before 5pm. There are no exceptions.
  3. Please download and bring with you all information regarding the use of our facilities during your stay.
  4. Please schedule any internet shopping deliveries to arrive when you know that you are here. We will not see shopping into cottages for you.
  5. Our phone number is 01503 240685.
  6. We provide bed linen, pillows, towels and tea towels. Please let us know if you want to bring any/all of these items yourself.

 

ON ARRIVAL

We apologise in advance that we will not be personally greeting you or showing you to your cottage at this time.

  1. When you arrive at Wringworthy please stay in your car and telephone us on 01503 240685 to inform us that you are checking in.
  2. Your keys will be left in the door of your cottage and you will be sent a site map when you pay your balance showing where you can park.
  3. Please be aware of other guests when parking and using your car, bringing in your luggage etc.
  4. Please familiarise yourself with your cottage and our facilities including where your dedicated outdoor seating is.
  5. Please familiarise yourself with the cottage in relation to means of escape in case of fire.

 

ANIMAL FEEDING

  1. If you have children who wish to take part in this activity then they must be accompanied by a responsible adult AT ALL TIMES. This is to ensure social distancing with other families and ourselves.
  2. We feed our animals at 9am and 6pm every day. We will leave a plastic pot inside your cottage and if you want to join us and feed the animals with us then please bring this with you. This is for your family to use only.
  3. We will meet up in the area outside the gates to the donkey field. Please stand and wait for us allowing 2m/6 feet between your household and other households. There is sufficient space in this area for this to safely take place.
  4. Please do follow the directions of the owners during this activity so that everyone can take part in a safe and social distanced manner.
  5. Please be aware that the small slope down to the meeting area is narrow. Be respectful of other guests when using this slope.
  6. WASH YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY before and after animal feeding.

 

USE OF OUR OUTDOOR SPACE

  1. Please make as much use of our outdoor space as you can. We have 70 acres for you to enjoy.
  2. Each cottage has its own dedicated outdoor seating area allowing separation between cottages. Please do not use areas dedicated to other cottages.

 

USE OF OUR SWIMMING POOL

Our swimming pool is wholly outdoors and its use has been fully Risk Assessed. We do not want to introduce rigid restrictions on times of use and hope that all guests will respect the shared nature of the facility and behave towards other guests as they themselves would like to be treated.

  1. Please ensure that you and all of your party change into swimwear and thoroughly wash your hands before leaving your cottage.
  2. Please check that no other families are in the pool before entering in the gate. If there is another family then either return to your cottage and wait or wait in the area adjacent to the pool.
  3. In order to ensure that everyone has an equal turn in the pool, please do not use the facility for longer than 45 minutes. Remember other families may be waiting inside their cottage to use the pool.
  4. We have removed all pool furniture. If you bring any items into the pool with you including floats and inflatables then please remove them each and every time you leave the pool.
  5. Please do not touch the pool cover or roller.
  6. We reserve the right to change the pool usage at any time.

DURING YOUR STAY

  1. Should you or any of your party display any symptoms of Covid19 during your stay, Government advice is that you should return home immediately. Please notify us that this is the case so that we can close the cottage and ensure no one enters it.
  2. If you have any problems or repairs/replacements, please phone us on 01503 240685 to discuss a suitable time when you will be out and we can then access the cottage safely.
  3. If you have any concerns at all please let us know STRAIGHT AWAY.

 

WHEN YOU LEAVE

The current Government advice is that used linen and towels represent a potential hazard to cleaning staff. We are therefore asking for your help to minimise the risk to our staff.

 

At the end of your stay, please strip the bed sheets on all used beds. Please carry the bedsheets, the entire pillow, the entire quilt with covers, all towels, bath mats, tea towels and oven gloves to the Party barn down by the animals. Please enter through the door way and deposit your linen on the floor of the barn where instructed.

 

Please thoroughly wash your hands when you return to your cottage and leave your keys in the door or on the kitchen table.

 

Please phone us on 01503 240685 when you have departed. Our gates will be closed at 10.15am so as to ensure that our staff do not come into contact with guests at any point and we ask that you respect this request all times.
